Surfing Adventures ! What we all live for! Having just come back from a year long trek covering 3 continents and surfing on all of them I have some excellent updates here about some of the wicked barrels I’ve been riding from Mavericks in the US to Siargao’s Cloud 9. The search for that elusive perfect wave has created a whole new area of travel and tourism called ‘The Surfing Adventure’. These days there are surf camps, yacht charters and surfing expeditions which offer surfers the ability to access some of the best waves on the planet even if they are in the remotest, off the beaten track places. The ideal time to plan a surf trip is generally considered to be the week after a full moon because the tide is at it’s highest during the middle of the day. In order to provide good surf more often has even created an industry around itself including the construction of man made reefs and artificial sand bars in order to attract more surfers to a particular surf location.
